EMG Academy is born, EMG Italy's project to nurture young talent in the broadcast industry

EMGacademy3For several years, EMG Italy has collaborated with various audiovisual vocational schools to facilitate a valuable generational shift in the sector, recognising education as the ideal channel to achieve this goal.

The company integrates young resources through targeted internships and frequently hosts groups of students for guided tours, especially at the Broadcast Centre in Cologno Monzese, where technical resources are concentrated. Young creators are regularly paired with ongoing productions, introducing them particularly to remote production, an area where EMG Italy has been very active for years.

UEFA AND EMG / GRAVITY MEDIA DELIVER ADVANCED WORKFLOWS AT UEFA EURO 2024 

EMGEuropeiWith the UEFA EURO 2024 football championship just completed, EMG / Gravity Media, working on behalf of UEFA, is highlighting the advanced broadcast infrastructure the combined group put together on a global level, both for UEFA and for a number of international broadcasters including UK commercial broadcaster ITV, Dutch public broadcaster NOS andAustralia’s Optus Sport.

For UEFA, EMG / Gravity Media leveraged its extensive experience gained from years of working at the EUROs to deliver the Technical Operations Centres (TOCs) and FANTV solution at each of the ten venues across Germany. In collaboration with the team in Italy, whilst the Group’s French crew members on-site delivered the big screens action for the fixtures held in two both Münich and Stuttgart on behalf of UEFA. 

The Giro d'Italia: A Cycling Spectacle Behind the Scenes

The Giro d'Italia, often dubbed "the toughest race in the world, in the most beautiful country in the world," is one of cycling's Grand Tours alongside the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España. Just like the race itself, the operation of bringing the Giro d'Italia into the homes of television viewers worldwide is a complex and massive undertaking.

An intricate network of personnel and equipment comes together to produce the international broadcast signal for the Giro, which spans 3,404.8 km across Italy in 21 stages. This year, EMG/Gravity Media orchestrated the entire operation,commencing on May 4th and culminating in Rome on May 26th.
