London high-end picture post facility boosts its 4K workflow with Quantel

Newbury, UK, 14 January 2015: Leading Soho-based high-end picture post facility, The Look, has purchased a second Quantel Pablo Rio 4K high quality color and finishing system. The Pablo Rio will operate alongside the facility's existing Pablo Rio 4K and Pablo systems to form the backbone of its longform and trailer work. In 2014, the facility worked on over 40 cinema trailers, 8 feature films, highly acclaimed TV drama 'Quirke' for BBC One, as well as commercials for major brands such as Hiscox and Google.

"Post production in the advertising market - opens Lorenzo - is definitely going through a rather demoralizing period, and the only reason why we are not discouraged and we can move forward with new energy is related to a "cross-cutting structural company profile"; Indeed, despite post production linked to advertising has been and still remains one of the key assets of Frame by Frame, thankfully this is not the only one.

"Il mercato della post produzione in ambito pubblicitario - apre Lorenzo - sta sicuramente vivendo un momento piuttosto demoralizzante e l'unico motivo per cui noi non siamo scoraggiati e riusciamo ad andare avanti con nuove energie è legato ad una "trasversalità strutturale"; infatti, nonostante la post produzione legata alla pubblicità sia stata e rimanga tutt'oggi uno degli asset fondamentali di Frame by Frame, grazie al cielo non è l'unico. Proseguendo nel solco storico tracciato con la pubblicità che ci ha permesso di arrivare a determinati risultati, abbiamo scelto di fare scelte coraggiose.

With a great specialization in post production applied especially to the advertising film, the Milan company Post Office Reloaded remains faithful to the plotted course that led to a high degree of specialization, editing, the "first love" borrowed from the experience in cinema, as well as in visual effects and animation.
After the 90s that mark the onset, the more recent history moves since 2004 with the addition of the name "Reloaded" which highlights new trends, still within the Group BRW SPA today contemplates BRW Filmland, Post Office Reloaded , BRW USA, Independent in London. And today Post Office Reloaded is still investing in new routes.

Realtime 8K 60p editing and color correction unveiled at InterBEE 2014

InterBEE, Tokyo, Japan, 18th November 2014: Quantel unveiled a new Pablo Rio working in realtime at 8K 60p at InterBEE 2014. The new Pablo Rio system makes 8K 60p post-production practical as 8K moves out from the laboratory into real-world production*. The new Pablo Rio 8K will ship next year.
