“Sport Movies & Tv – 30th Milano International FICTS Fest” 2012 (12 June 2012)
The Official Organizing Board announces the opening of annual enrolments to “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2012 – 30th MILANO INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST” (http://www.sportmoviestv.com). This is the only world event totally devoted to Sports Cinema, Sports Broadcasters and Sports Communications and will be held in Milan Italy from 5th to 9th December 2012 concluding the 14th Festival of Campionato Mondiale della Televisione e del Cinema sportivo (World Championship of Sports Television and Cinema) “World FICTS Challenge” being held in the 5 continents.
The official start of the event was 9th May in Barcellona (Spain) and 11th May in Istanbul (Turkey) opening the Circuito Internazionale “World FICTS Challenge” having climax moments from 7th to 11th November in Beijin, while all other selections of the International “World FICTS Challenge 2012” Circuit are: Hanoi (Vietnam), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Guayaquil (Ecuador), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Matera (Italy), Yakutsk (Rep. Sakha), Kampala (Uganda), Tjanjin (China), Lipetsk (Russia), Liberec (Tzec. Rep.), Los Angeles (USA), Milan (Italy).
The main idea of “Sport Movies & Tv – 30th Milano International FICTS Fest” is the motto “FICTS Is Culture Through Sport” - organized by FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, with 110 Nations members) recognized by CIO – Olympic International Committee. The federation is headed by Prof. Franco Ascani, Member of “Commissione Cultura ed Educazione Olimpica” of CIO.
The final prizes will be awarded on 7th December 2012, same date of premiere of La Scala “Prima”, with “FICTS Hall of Fame” among which are Pelè, Robert Redford, Mohamed Al Fayed, Oscar Pistorius, Yelena Isinbayeva, Ottavio Missoni, Johan Cruyff, Ennio Morricone, Giancarlo Abete, Martin Scorsese, Marcello Lippi, Bud Spencer, Philippe Leroy, Sergey Bubka, Yuri Chechi, Dick Fosbury, Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein. Among many “honor guests” invited are: George Foreman, Giampiero Boniperti, Sylvester Stallone, Franco Nero, Vanessa Redgrave.

“TV SPORT EMOTIONS” (http://www.sportmoviestv.com/tvsportemotion) is 2012 main theme involving several initiatives and productions by thousands of sports channels throughout the whole world.
“Sport Movies & Tv” is a considerable world display case for tv broadcasters, international networks, production facilities, directors, producers, Olympic committees, sports federations, sports champions, radios, advertising and communication agencies, all dealing with the universe of cinema and television depicted through documentaries, commercials, reportages, fiction, cartoons, in one of the seven sections in the challenge: 1) Olympic Spirit, 2) Documentaries, 3) TV Transmissions and New Technologies, 4) Sport & Society, 5) Movies, 6) Sport & Advertising, 7) Movies & Tv Football.
The event in Milan will host over 150 projections (in 7 locations contemporarily), 8 Meetings, 2 Workshops, 4 Exhibitions, 2 Press Conferences, 4 connected Events, 30 award ceremonies with international guests. Just like every year over 230 credited journalists are expected, plus 200 tv channels taking part of “Tv Sport Emotions Award” to “The Best TV Sports Channel ” of the year within “TV SPORT EMOTIONS” contest.
We asked Mr Ascani if there would be technogy sessions on sports broadcast in the event.
"One of the seven competitive sections of “Sport Movies & TV” is “Trasmissioni Tv e Nuove Tecnologie” (Tv Tranimissions and New Technologies): Sections, Containers, Talk-show, Entertainment programs, New Media.
The dominant theme will be “TV SPORT EMOTIONS” (www.sportmoviestv.com/tvsportemotions). FICTS, “Federazione Internazionale delle Televisioni Sportive”, launched a series of events dedicated to all world sports broadcasters. 187 broatiodcasters have already enroled -up to today- in “TV SPORT EMOTIONS” and will be taking part to face to face discussion on the tv sector developments, in relation to the Internet and mobile platforms and future trends according to the detailed program within “Sport Movies & Tv 2012” to be held in Milan 5th through 9th December.”
Milan will be the headquarter of the final of “Giornata Mondiale della Televisione Sportiva” (Word Day for Sports Television) and prize giving day of “The best of world tv sport award” to the best sports tv channel of the year.
