... Festive Interactive Digital Signage Experience at Oslo City
OSLO, Norway — Jan. 11, 2010 — never.no, the leading cross-media interactivity company, joined with Norwegian digital signage company Urban View to deliver an interactive Christmas experience at Oslo City, Oslo's largest shopping center. In the days leading up to Christmas Day, visitors were able to display a personal greeting to other shoppers in the mall by uploading photographs and images via multimedia messaging service (MMS) to giant display screens.
Oslo City's usual digital signage mix of commercials and information messages was enhanced with regular three-minute interactive slots, creating frequent attention-grabbing interludes in which viewers could see what other shoppers had posted, and post their own pictures. never.no's Interactivity Suite allows an operator to modify content before it is displayed.
never.no's solution for digital signage was specially adapted to integrate with the Adobe® Flash®-based display engine used in the Oslo City signage system. never.no created Christmas-themed templates for displays, inviting shoppers to participate and create their own personalized picture messages. The solution was ready to go live, right out of the box.
